JJ Cillis Builders was started by Joesph Cillis (JJ) as a part time job during the summer break from school teaching. After a Master’s Degree and nine years of teaching he changed his career path to an industry he always had an interest in. That interest turned into a love and passion for creating some of the finest crafted homes in the area.

Well over 50 years ago, the home building business was much different. The builders back then had their own crews and they worked “hands on” doing all phases of construction. The business has changed since then but the foundation of knowledge and experience is what we use to produce a high quality, well crafted home.

We pride ourselves on being directly involved in every project. We work with our customers every step of the way. From the initial design stages to the completion of the project, we provide a high level of service to insure a home to their is to their satisfaction

After obtaining a four degree in Architecture and many summer breaks working with his father, JJ’s son Jim joined on full time. He has brought new technology, new design ideas and an update to the business. After 30+ years of tutelage from his father, Jim handles the day to day operations, sales, purchasing, and design.
